Healing PTSD with MDMA Assisted Therapy – with Lori Tipton
Join me as I speak with Lori Tipton, author, playwright, public speaker, and advocate for the use of psychedelics in the field of mental health. In 2018 she was the first person in New Orleans, Louisiana to take part in an FDA-approved clinical trial of MDMA (also known as Ecstasy) to treat PTSD. Her upcoming book, In the Heart not the Head: An MDMA Memoir chronicles her life before, during and after treatment. Lori has been interviewed by NPR, CBC and ABC news. She has spoken publicly across the country at many events from small dinner parties to large stages. She is one of three subjects of the upcoming feature-length documentary about MDMA psychotherapy by Directors Caleb Hellerman and Micha Peled. Lori currently serves as Executive Director of the Psychedelic Society of New Orleans where she happily lives & co-parents her son with his three fathers
